What We Do

Our Beliefs

Our Beliefs

AWI connects pastors to other pastors. Through our global network of pastors, we are able to connect pastors who have been blessed with theological training to other pastors who have not had that opportunity. Our in-country directors setup opportunities for short-term, rigorous theological training events across the world. Our self-supported teachers come to where the greatest needs are, provide training, and then send pastors back into their ministry contexts to continue moving the work of the Gospel forward.

Our ministry is born out of 1 Corinthians 3:6. Paul writes to the church at Corinth: I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth (ESV). We see our mission as going to those places where the seeds of the Gospel have been planted and continue the task of watering. There is a great need for continued training and encouraging, particularly among pastors. In planting and watering, God receives the glory. Godly missionaries have went into difficult places around the world and seen many come to know Christ. As those missionaries continue to labor in places where Christ has not been proclaimed, we seek to come in behind them and water what has been planted.

What can You do?

PRAY

PRAY

PRAY

Start with prayer! You may not be able to give or go, but please take time to pray for our ministry. Pray for our national pastors as they often serve in very difficult circumstances, pray for our teachers as they serve around the world, and

PRAY

PRAY

When you give you support national pastors who organize our events and help cover the cost of the training events. We do not use the funds receive to pay teachers or to cover the costs of their trips. Each of these men are self-support missionaries who raise their own funds to travel to other countries and bless these pastors.
